What is the best way to get frizzy-ish layered hair into a reasonably smooth high ponytail?

Any tips? Are there any particular styling products that would help?

Thanks! What is the best way to get frizzy-ish layered hair into a reasonably smooth high ponytail?
It is a matter of getting the hair swept back and gathered then secured. Do not use an elastic band!!!! That will break your hair and more frizzy's occur. Make sure you don't pull too tightly as it seems you hair is fragile. Condition regularly also with a deep moisturing one at least weekly.

Once you get the hair in place and secured, lightly spray hairspray into your palm, then rub hands together so both are coated. Now work your hairsprayed palms over the 'frizzy' area patting it down. I find that works nicely to keep 'frizzy' down. What is the best way to get frizzy-ish layered hair into a reasonably smooth high ponytail?
Blow dry with the nozzle pointing downwards, using a round brush to style. Use a heat protection spray and then when your hair is dry use Mark Hill serum. Then brush it into a high ponytail and smooth anyflyaways with a small amount of serum, not too much or it will be greasy. If you have time you could also straighten it. My hair is thick and frizzy, and I use a big paddle brush which helps, but if your hair is thinner a comb or smaller brush might be better.
I'm still working on this problem myself!

What I found to be helpful was to pull back all your hair up and tie it as tight as you can.

Also if you have layors hanging out use bobby-pins the same color as your hair to pin them back tightly and as less noticable as you can.

If you don't like the fact that in the back your hair is like stiffing up (because of those layors) try putting some gel and smooth it down with the longer parts of your hair. I haven't tried the gel thing myself but, who knows.

Hopefully this will help! Good luck :)
my hair is frizzy, and what i do ids i just put in some of that John Freda frizz-ease hair serum in my hair. then i use a brush and put it into a hight ponytail. i use gel on the top of my head to keep the top looking smooth and sleek and then i put a little bit of gel in the ponytail so that my hair stays smooth. hope this helps =]
Hi just brush it and make sure there are no knots, then straighten it if it needs it, then get a strong bobble that will hold all your hair, brush your hair into a pony-tale, then if there are any loose or wispy pieses of hair left wear strong clips.

Hope this helped x Courtney xoxo
