How do you remove/seperate layers in a picture using paint shop?
I have pictures that I took with graphics on top, and watermarks on some, and Im trying to remove those layers using paint shop pro or adobe. Does anyone know how to remove layers/watermarks/graphics from pictures? How do you remove/seperate layers in a picture using paint shop?
You have to do it by hand, pixel by pixel. Like photoshop, once you have combined the layers, you cannot separate them. You can go in and replace the pixel one by one, but that is extremely tedious. Unless it's hanging behind a solid background. The you can just paint over it.

How to make layering look good?
I wanna wear something cool to school tomorrow and I wanna try layering.
I've noticed that's what celebrities wear all the time, but I can't make it good as them.
I mean, I wear 2 or 3 shirts, but it doesn't look really nice.
Any suggestions? How to make layering look good?
shirts under V-neck jumpers, the shirts can be polo shirts or normal shirts. In fact anything under a v-neck jumper as you can see the underneath top at the neck, also two t-shirts, if one is longer than the other one, or one long sleeved one short go for the longer one underneath. Maybe start by layering a neutral plain colour e.g. grey black navy or brown with brighter colours to start until you get confident enough to layer two bright colours :)How to make layering look good?
for example, wear a navy blue shirt with a white cami under it.
well, everything matches with white.....so ya.
or wear colored camis under white shirts.
Do not wear a short sleeve and a long sleeve.
Try wearing a thin long sleeve shirt, with an under shirt, and a vest.oil skin facial oil production masquerade mask

In terms of layering, where do I put a memory foam pad on the bed?
Do I put it over the sheets? Right over the mattress? Over the mattress pad?In terms of layering, where do I put a memory foam pad on the bed?
Here is the order: #1. The mattress pad (I use two) then the foam pad and then the sheet. If the foam pad does not have its own cover (some do and some don't). #2. The mattress pad, the foam pad, another mattress pad and then the sheet. If no cover on it, its needs to be sandwiched between regular pads.In terms of layering, where do I put a memory foam pad on the bed?
My setup is mattress, mattress pad, memory foam, and then bottom sheet. Having it right below the sheet gives the best support and is most form fitting.
I would put it over the mattress but under the sheets. However you prefer.

What are the layers of photographic film?
As if, you were looking at a cross-section of a strip of film. What are the layers of photographic film?
The actual ';film'; is called the base layer and the layer with the image is called the emulsion. Black and white film has only one emulsion layer and color films have several, with the number varying according to what kind of film it is. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photographi鈥?/a>

I looked for any picture similar to it, but your hair dresser should get the idea if you tell them and show them the placement of color with your hands

What are some ways to style straight medium length layered hair?
I have wavy hair that I straighten every morning and just wear it down. It's medium length, a few inches past my shoulder with side bangs. What are some ways I can straighten it then style it differently? Like for example putting it in a ponytail with a headband, a french braid, etc. Pictures and instructions would be great! Thanks! What are some ways to style straight medium length layered hair?
1. Lauren Conrad braid. There are TONS of videos on how to do it.
it's just like braiding but picking pieces up along the way and pinning it back with bobby pins or clips.
2. On one side right above your ear you can take your thumb and pull it through the hair so you have one side half up and than do the same thing to the other side and pin it.
3. Maybe once you get longer hair it would be easier but you can take a simple head band put it right behind your ears(behind your bangs), pull all your hair to one side and than braid it. (pin the extra fly-aways down) and tie it with a scrunchy
4. Take your bangs and pull them back with bobby pins but than push your bangs to the front of your hair line to create a puff. You can do this with your hair up too.
5. Do a half-up leave the rest of your hair down. Or you can do a braid to the side. And you can do it with your hair up or in a bun.
-sorry if it's kind of confusing(its hard to give instructions by writing it)What are some ways to style straight medium length layered hair?
I love your question because my hair is very similar.
For wearing it down:
- Try wearing your bangs in front of a headband (cloth or hard ones work fine) It gives a chic look and can easily be done.
-If your bangs are long enough, make a ';bump'; type look. Pull your bangs to the middle of your head and pull them back and then push them forward a bit to make a bump-ish look. (You could also leave your bangs infront and do the bump with your normal hair. It looks equally cute.) Something like this, you can change the size of the bump too.
http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t218/鈥?/a>
-If your bangs are long enough for this too, pull them off to the side and clip them. You can twist it too, if you like a more frilly look, and it's so quick and easy, I wear it at least twice a week.
For up-do's:
-Pull your hair back and just wear the bangs down - so simple!
-Try the bump look like you would for the down-do, but pull your hair back along with it.
Those are just a few of the things I do. It's kind of hard to explain them when there are so many ways of doing them - everybody's hair works differently. Good luck!
Sorry, I don't have time to leave links but you can...
Put it in a small poof
Clip back the sides with barrettes or bobby pins
Scrunch it
Lightly curl it for a different look
Messy bun
Cute headbands with ponytail or down
Ponytail with ribbon tied in a bow is so cute! I do it all the time!
Hope I helped!

What hairstyle is best for thick hair and do layers make it thicker or not?
My friend took a hairdressing course with school for a few weeks and she said layers make thick hair even thicker!! I thought it made it thinner? My hair is really thick and layered what hairstyle can I get to make it thinner? Oh and the hairdresser always uses thinning scissors and cuts loads off but by the next time I've washed it it's like it never got thinned out at all. It's so annoying what can I do?!What hairstyle is best for thick hair and do layers make it thicker or not?
Having your hair layered makes it thinner,i have it done each time as i also have thick hair. Ask for layers and for it to be thinned out. A good hairdressers will know what you mean when you say you dont like having thick hair and want something doing with it. Also ask the hairdresser what style they recommend for you,i did and i have a style i would of never chosen but i love it and get loads of comments. Good luck! What hairstyle is best for thick hair and do layers make it thicker or not?
Yeah i have really thick hair.. so my hairdresser advised layers.. it looked good after they styled it correctly but every time i did at home after it made it thicker.. especially when it grows back.
There is a difference between thick hair and a thick head of hair. I've got very fine hair but loads of it (a thick head of hair). I would trust an experienced hair dresser rather than a mate who only took hairdressing for a few weeks. Sometimes novices don't really understand - go with your experienced hairdresser.
After way too many bad haircuts that didn't seem to make any difference I decided to fork out for a decent haricut at Trevor Sorbie (normally about 35 quid upwards I think..).
My hairdresser there is amazing. I have really insanely thick curly hair and she told me that layers would be a very bad idea because it does make it look thicker. She thins it out instead by using instinct to make the top layer more choppy and thinned out.
All I know is my hair looks way better than it ever did with layers, even when I don't bother to straighten it.
Hope this helps!

Do space shuttle launches cause a greater depletion of the ozone layer?
To be honest, I believe more research is required on the subject. When one realizes that any space vehicle uses up tons of fuel to reach even low orbit, and the mitigating circumstances of weather and other environmental conditions are major factors, it's certain that there will be cumulative after-effects.
I also believe that such a study might spur research into other methods of reaching orbit, such as space elevators and alternate propulsion methods, such as scramjet turbines and the like. These issues will have to be addressed at some point; it's best to begin intensive research as soon as possible. Virgin Galactic, as well as other aerospace concerns, have already started, but more effort will be required as Homo Sapiens begins to leave its ancestral homeworld.Do space shuttle launches cause a greater depletion of the ozone layer?
no. in fact many people don't know this but lighting actually creates ozone. plus ozone isn't flammable.Do space shuttle launches cause a greater depletion of the ozone layer?
No I don't think so...., but it seems after the shuttle has left we have alittle bad weather, as well as it returns after we have bad weather.
Why should they. The shuttle only burns hydrogen and aluminum.
Naw, but it does poke little holes in it! lmao
The major factor in the depletion of the ozone layer was the rampant use of CFCs (Chlorofluorocarbons) in aerosol cans. As long as the Space Shuttle is taking off without releasing any of these chemicals, and I'm pretty sure they don't, then the two would be unrelated.oil skin facial oil production masquerade mask

What is the best way to get frizzy-ish layered hair into a reasonably smooth high ponytail?
Any tips? Are there any particular styling products that would help?
Thanks! What is the best way to get frizzy-ish layered hair into a reasonably smooth high ponytail?
It is a matter of getting the hair swept back and gathered then secured. Do not use an elastic band!!!! That will break your hair and more frizzy's occur. Make sure you don't pull too tightly as it seems you hair is fragile. Condition regularly also with a deep moisturing one at least weekly.
Once you get the hair in place and secured, lightly spray hairspray into your palm, then rub hands together so both are coated. Now work your hairsprayed palms over the 'frizzy' area patting it down. I find that works nicely to keep 'frizzy' down. What is the best way to get frizzy-ish layered hair into a reasonably smooth high ponytail?
Blow dry with the nozzle pointing downwards, using a round brush to style. Use a heat protection spray and then when your hair is dry use Mark Hill serum. Then brush it into a high ponytail and smooth anyflyaways with a small amount of serum, not too much or it will be greasy. If you have time you could also straighten it. My hair is thick and frizzy, and I use a big paddle brush which helps, but if your hair is thinner a comb or smaller brush might be better.
I'm still working on this problem myself!
What I found to be helpful was to pull back all your hair up and tie it as tight as you can.
Also if you have layors hanging out use bobby-pins the same color as your hair to pin them back tightly and as less noticable as you can.
If you don't like the fact that in the back your hair is like stiffing up (because of those layors) try putting some gel and smooth it down with the longer parts of your hair. I haven't tried the gel thing myself but, who knows.
Hopefully this will help! Good luck :)
my hair is frizzy, and what i do ids i just put in some of that John Freda frizz-ease hair serum in my hair. then i use a brush and put it into a hight ponytail. i use gel on the top of my head to keep the top looking smooth and sleek and then i put a little bit of gel in the ponytail so that my hair stays smooth. hope this helps =]
Hi just brush it and make sure there are no knots, then straighten it if it needs it, then get a strong bobble that will hold all your hair, brush your hair into a pony-tale, then if there are any loose or wispy pieses of hair left wear strong clips.
Hope this helped x Courtney xoxo

What does a cake nead to support many (17) layers without it collapsing?
I already know how to make the layers but I've heard people say that in such a big cake it wont be able to hold itself up and will crumble. Do i nead something for support? I'm making it for my Girl Friend's birthday. A layer for each year of her life. I hope it worksWhat does a cake nead to support many (17) layers without it collapsing?
Being that you are asking this question HERE I presume at best you are an amateur. I know several professional bakers who make multi tier cakes for weddings and none has made 17 layers.Based on this I think you have 3 chances Fat, Slim, and None.I do wish you success however. To attempt a job of that magnitude in I presume a home kitchen with home quality tools and accessories is truly awe inspiring. I hope you Get LuckyWhat does a cake nead to support many (17) layers without it collapsing?
Some people use cream to stick the cake together if they make western cakes but it still collapses. However, I would suggest you make Indonesian layer cake because the layers are held together without cream or jam nothing at all. Bear in mind, this Indonesian might be tasty but it is very high in cholesterol.
Try using royal icing, which is really thick white icing made from confectioners sugar and water and spread it between the layers. Also try putting in some supports in between the layers with wooden douls stuck in the layers or even pbc pipes work too.
To have a cake with that many layers stay standing, you need some equipment. You will need cardboard rounds (or squares) for each of the layers. (Either layers of the same size like a regular layer cake or you can put up to three graduated layers on a cardboard.) You will also need some wooden dowels to put into the lower layers to hold up the weight of the upper layers that are on the cardboard(s) above them. You should study the ';build a cake'; section on the Wilton web site. http://www.wilton.com/wedding/makecake/b鈥?/a>
This is something that really must be seen not just explained. Putting a multilayer cake together is just like architecture. You must acount for the weight of the materials used so that the building doesn't just fall down under it's own weight.

What kind of layers will make hair straight?
I have hair that is in the middle of straight and wavy, so what type of layers would make it stay straight?
Also, can split ends make your hair flip after you straighten it?What kind of layers will make hair straight?
Split ends like kill your hair, those won't help. And I don't think there are any layers that make your hair straight. You'll have to straighten it or blow dry it straight to make it straight. Or you can chemically get it straight at the hair salon. What kind of layers will make hair straight?

How many years does it take for heat generated in the Sun's core to reach its outer layer, the photosphere?
About 20 000 years believe it or not. The material near the Sun's core is so dense (98 grams per cubic centimetre) that the photons that carry the fusion energy outwards keep bumping into nuclei and work their way outwards in a long slow random walk. They start off as high energy gamma rays, but with each collision they lose a little energy. By the time they emerge from the photosphere, they're UV, visible or heat radiation. How many years does it take for heat generated in the Sun's core to reach its outer layer, the photosphere?
It takes approximatley 1,000,000 years the reason being that the core of the sun is so dense and energetic that the subatomic particles that make up light are obstructed on their way out of the coreHow many years does it take for heat generated in the Sun's core to reach its outer layer, the photosphere?
Nobody knows.
I really wonder why everyone is asking this question nowadays. Its so idiotic everyone still ask this question.
';No one knows! -Probably several million years.';

';Current estimates range from 17,000 years to 50 million years.';
';The energy generated in the Sun's core takes about 30,000 years to reach the photosphere's surface, where it is mostly emitted as light and infrared (heat) radiation.';
i've heard 20,000 years, haven't checked it out myself though

Several million years. The Sun's material (primarily ionized hydrogen) is actually an excellent heat insulator. That's why the Sun's surface temperature is only about 6,000 degrees F, while the core temperature is (very roughly) 30 million degrees. How many years does it take for heat generated in the sun's core to reach its outer layer, the photosphere?
936.57 yearsHow many years does it take for heat generated in the sun's core to reach its outer layer, the photosphere?
25 million
It takes well over 200,000 years for the heat from the core of the sun to reach the photosphere. From there it's few minutes to earth.
that can't be answered since no one knows the mass make up of the sun and since different materials react differently to heat dissapation it can't be determined.
It can be hypothosised though (Did I spell that right)

How many layers of clothing for a winter newborn?
My little boy will be here in November. Is a onesie underneath a layette/sleeper good enough to keep him warm when we go out? With blankets too of course. How many layers of clothing for a winter newborn?
always ask yourself what you would wear and dress accordingly for the peanut. Sometimes you can overheat them and not even realize it.
If you live in a colder area, get a thing to cover the carseat that they are in. and then put a light blanket it that you can remove if they show signs of being too hot. Make sure to cover the head, always. Its the first source of heat loss.
Remember that you can always take clothing off. It all depends where you live. How many layers of clothing for a winter newborn?
When its cold i usually just see how i feel. If i am nice and cozy with 2 layers on i put my daughter 3 layers just because they lose heat from their little bodies faster than us.
I usually put my daughter on..
A baby vest, a onesie/pants and jacket.
An additional coat depending on the coldness along with hat and mits...
You will just know what to put him on when he comes...i thought about stuff like this before i had mine..but then its hardly an issue when their here..
All the best and congrats!!!
yes it is. unless you baby is really little with no fat on them then you might need a little more but what you said you are going to do should be fine. my 3 kids were very hot natured so i never put more than what you talked about on them. good luck!
Well my plan is close to that.
I plan on heating the car before hand. Toasting the blanket by the heater before I wrap her up in it. And head out the door with her onsie and a little jacket and socks/booties,hat-then a blanket.
Personally, I never bother with onesies under sleepers even in winter. I'll have a hat on the baby and put them in a 1-piece snow suit type thing or a jacket depending.
When I had my first someone told me this little nugget. One more layer than you would wear. Not too hot and not to cold that way. And best of all this advice works no matter where you live!
Best of luck and congrats!
vest, babygrow, cardy)cotton wool not 100% wool itchy!
Sheet, 2 to 3 cotton blankets with the little holes in!
perhaps a nice jersey cotton hat!
I had my son in a long sleep onesie, paints, and socks, underneat a snow suit when we went out... of course it depends on where you are (I'm in Wisconsin... so it gets cold).
My doctor told me years ago to feel the back of their neck. If hot/sweaty, they are too hot and vice versa with the cold. Wearing a hat also helps with heat.
That sounds about right to me. Dont forget the hat...very important....Good luck
i would say a t shirt and his out fit and a snow suit or jacketoil skin facial oil production masquerade mask

How many layers of clothes are you allowed to wear on an airplane?
I'm trying to get home to Canada and I'm worried about going overweight on my luggage. Do you think they would let me through if I was wearing 10 layers or so?How many layers of clothes are you allowed to wear on an airplane?
Yes, but...
You may have to remove extra layers at the security screen, and will likely be pulled out for supplemental screening. You will also have to actually wear the clothes on the plane (which can be fairly warm sometimes, especially if there is no ground power hookup). Since you are traveling internationally, you will also likely attract special attention entering Canada since you'll fit a smuggler profile, so I would be ready to have yourself and your belongings pulled aside for questioning at the very least and quite possibly a thorough search.
Good luck! How many layers of clothes are you allowed to wear on an airplane?
You can wear however many clothes you want. The one thing they dont have control over is your outfit!
Sure but good luck fitting in the seats with 10 layers on and not sweating to death.

My PC disc driver can read DVD+RW discs, will it be able to read DVD+RW Dual Layer discs too?
I think it can. Because in my DVD drive also it is written only DVD RW reader. But i can read Dual Layer. SO you too can read the Dual Layer DVD. If you want to confirm 100% means, check with any DualLayer DVD s
I am traveling to South America, and we have a layer over of 8 hours in Santiago,Chile...I am traveling with?
a 2 year old and I dont think he will last 8 hours in an ariport, Can anyone tell me if there is anything around the airport in Chile or anything that is a close by attraction for us to do within those 8 hours.I am traveling to South America, and we have a layer over of 8 hours in Santiago,Chile...I am traveling with?
Unfortunately, the airport is a little far from Santiago, there's not much around it (besides an airport hotel, in case you want to check that out).
You can take a cab for around 17.000 pesos (30 dollars) to Providencia, which is more or less half an hour away. A nice thing to do might be go to Cerro San Cristobal, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cerro_San_C鈥?/a> which has a cable car and a funicular that go to the top (you can take one going up and the other going down), with nice views of the city if the day is clear and not too smoggy. There are places to walk around, small crafts shops, and the Santiago zoo is in the same hill. Just make sure to take a cab back in time, traffic can be awful...
Another option is taking a cab to Vi帽a del Mar, which is about an hour and a half away, but it might be alittle risky if you only have 8 hours there.
Have a good trip!I am traveling to South America, and we have a layer over of 8 hours in Santiago,Chile...I am traveling with?
you can take the Aeropuerto bus into town which is a lot less than a cab (1400 pesos) (approx-3 dollars)
Cerro San Cristobol would be a good thing to do, there is a zoo, park, and stuff for kids to do.
However, if you are not going anywhere else in Chile, it may just be best to stay at the airport because many foreigners have to pay a reciprocity fee to enter the country (for Americans it is $131)

What is the best way to remove 2 layers of paint from a wood toy box?
It is pretty old and I want to remove the paint and then stain it. Any suggestions? What is the best way to remove 2 layers of paint from a wood toy box?
I would strip it myself. You said ';old'; and ';toy'; which makes me suspect lead paint, which is not good on something children touch.
I like the orange stripper, but then each are pretty equal in stripping power. The sheet strippers are nice of you can afford them. What is the best way to remove 2 layers of paint from a wood toy box?
Paint strippers are messy but so is any other method of removing paint.Strippers are the way to go. Sanding it off could be dangerous if there's any lead in the paint if it's old there's a good chance that it does .Stripping the paint can also be dangerous 1.many strippers can burn you so be sure to wear protective gloves clothing and glasses They can also produce harmful fumes. This is not something you really want to do indoors. There are strippers that are less harmful like safe -strip or citri strip still protection is advised anything that can strip off paint is not good for skin and eyes.2. when using strippers if there is lead in the paint this can produce toxic fumes as well. You might be better off having this done for you. Or have it tested for lead and decide wether or not you want to keep it.
Start with a belt sander and finish up the inside corners with a sand block.
If it is very old use a chemical stripper. I used some citrus smelling stuff recently and it worked real well (Wal-mart). Do not use a heat gun as the old paint may contain lead
At the DIY stores (Lowes, Home Depot, Hardware Stores) they have paint 'stripper'. It's a liquid that you brush or towel onto a painted wood surface, leave for a few minutes and the paint will bubble. Then you take a putty knife and scrape the paint residue away. You will probably need to sand it to get a really smooth surface then stain. The stripper I've used before was called Red Devil, but there are several on the market.
that is a hard dirty messy smelly job.take my advice please.they have some Stain like paint.you paint it with that and then this kit comes with this tool that makes it look like real wood grain and you can choose what kind of dark or light color wood you want.we did it on metal cabinets and ever one thought they were wood.the only exception to all that i have said disregard if it is a 200 year old antique made in new England then take it to a pro and he will tell you this.dont touch it because if you do the price of the box will drop in price by at least 75 percent amen God bless and Merry Christmas i know about this because i tried it and done it all kinds of ways and unless you have a sandblaster handy and you are an expert do it the easiest safest cleanest way.

How many years does it take for heat generated in the sun's core to reach its outer layer, the photoshere?
To be honest, no one is really quite sure. There is some amount of speculation based on models, and the theories produce answers that range from 10,000 years to several million years.
The reason that heat and light take so long to travel from the sun's core to the photosphere is because the energy is absorbed by an atom, then re-radiated only to be absorbed by another atom and re-radiated again. The number of atoms are astronomical (please pardon the pun) and even when the photon of energy is radiated, it isn't always towards the photosphere. Sometimes it is back towards the core. So even at the speed of light, it takes a very very long time for a photon of energy to travel from atom to atom all the way to the surface. How many years does it take for heat generated in the sun's core to reach its outer layer, the photoshere?

A million years or so. That's how long it takes energy originally appearing as gamma radiation in the core to random walk its way to the photosphere.

What is the outer layer of a cell?
depends on the cell
plant- cell wall
animal- cell membraneWhat is the outer layer of a cell?
The outer layer of a cell would be the plasma membrane. The cell wall is the outside for plant cells, plasma membrane for non-plant cells. The plasma membrane, at least for people, is a phospholipid (phosphorus and fats) bilayer (2 layers). Glycoproteins (sugar and proteins) and cholesterols also help make it up.What is the outer layer of a cell?
I think the best answer is the plasma membrane because the plasma membrane contains the cytoplasm and regulates what goes into and out of the cell. Many cells have the cell wall surrounding the plasma membrane, but the cell wall does not keep many materials in or out, so it doesn't really seem like the outer limit of the cell.
There are two types of cell.
Plant cell and animal cell.

well sweetie , it depends on the cell plant- cell wall
animal- cell membrane . I hope this helps . good question . -B-
well, there are two types of living cells.one type is the animal cell and the outer layer of animal cell is called the 'cell membrane'. this membrane seperates the protoplasm (cytoplasm+nucleus) of cell from the contents of other cells.this membrane is partially-permeable and the function is to protect the inner contents of the cell as well as to control the materials that enter inside the cell.it is semi-permeable so it allows only somethings to pass through but stop others.as far as the plant cells are concerned they consist of the outer layer called the 'cell wall'. this cell wall is made up of glucose and it also protects the inner parts of cell.this however is not semi-permeable and it encloses the cell-membrane similar to that of animal's.hope this is the answer.all the best.
A cell wall.
the outer layer depends on cell in plant the outer layer of cell is cell wall which protect the cell and in animals the outer layer is plasma membrane and cell wall is not present. though the plasma membrane also protect the cell but is less effective than cell wall. the plasma membrane is made of lipids and thus is useful for different kind of channels it also help in identification of organism by staining.
In most cells the membrane is made up of a lipid bilayer. It is formed when phospholipids join together with the hydrophilic head facing out and the tails of the phospholipids(fatty acids) facing towards each other with the center filled with plasma and protien. One layer has the heads of the phospholipids facing towards the inside of the cell and the outer layer has the heads facing the outside of the cell. you can veiw examples at my anatomy and phys. text website. www.mhhe.com/saladinoil skin facial oil production masquerade mask

How many years does it take for heat generated in the sun's core to reach its outer layer, the photosphere?
Excellent Question!
There is no exact figure, but some sources say as much as a million years.
During the proton-proton chain, the name of the process of nuclear fusion in our sun (there are other processes such as the triple alpha process or the CNO cycle) photons of gamma radiation are generated during fusion.
Those photons travel outward from one atom to another being absorbed and then re-radiated back out again to be picked up by the next atom outwards.
It takes a long time for that photon of energy to reach the photosphere, and by that time a goodly number of them have lost some of their energy and the wavelengths have changed to x-rays, UV, visible light, IR, microwave or radio light.
What happened to the energy that was lost by the photons on thier way out of the star? The star uses it to sustain its temperature and fusion process. After all, it has to fight gravity trying to collapse it all its life.
There is a good article on how the sun operates at this website and it is a fascinating subject.

I've seen calculations that put it at around 10,000 years.

yeah ots cute, but you have to style it so much.
Even if you got choppy layers, you have to back comb it, have styling wax and everything.
scene cuts require choppy cuts.
if you want to be a poser so very badly, you can just get layers everywear
well the choppy layers are what makes the style scene, but it is possible to find less choppy layers and make them look scene by straightening.
I'll find some and edit.

Um I was playing with my hair and I have long bangs so I put part of my bangs down to where it hides one of my eyes and I pulled the rest of my hair up
Well...to put it in short, you really can't.
You can't turn drab hair into something amazing without doing anything first!
And that includes lots of layers and lots of dying.
whats wrong with layers? just tell them you're getting normal layers, make the length of your hair a bit shorter, and use hairspray or gel
If you get supppper straight long hair and put in some like crazy color with dye or extensions.

How many layers does my newborn need if my house is 25 c?
Ive tried everything to get the temperature down but nothing seems to be working! Ive read that she needs 1 layer more than me. I'm terrified of SIDS.How many layers does my newborn need if my house is 25 c?
Typical rule of thumb is the baby needs one more layer of clothing than you need. So if your comfortable in a long sleeve shirt and jeans, then the baby will need the same plus another shirt underneath. If you're good in a tank top and shorts the baby will be okay in a onesie with a shirt underneath. If her feet are cold put on socks, if not she's fine! Also the baby will not die of SIDS by getting too hot. Sids is caused from tummy sleeping, having pillows and stuffed animals in her crib, smoking increases the risk as well. How many layers does my newborn need if my house is 25 c?
if she is sweaty when you pick her up from a nap, that's too much. personally, if it's that warm in my house I would put the baby in just an undershirt and a thin flannel blanket on top.
the main risks for sids are to do with smoking, and cosleeping after having drunk or used drugs. I think keeping baby exactly the right temperature is less important, and kind of impossible. baby will tell you if she's really uncomfortable, otherwise you just gotta go by how her skin feels.
my son was in hospital when he was 4weeks old, the room was 28C, way too hot for me. he was fine in a body suit (armless and legless), or a t-shirt. we covered him with a thin sheet.
i checked his belly to see if he was too hot. if he did feel hot i removed the sheet :D
Every baby is different, for me, my son sweat really bad in his sleep even in thin footy pajamas. I just used those side snap shirts and swaddled him.
I would just do one at that temp. I always feel if I'm cold or warm, my baby is too-
How are you dressed? Are you comfortable? Dress baby accordingly and do frequent checks to make sure she's not too hot.

How many layers of kevlar found in a German flecktarn flack vest will stop a M16 round from about?
1/3 of a kilometer away?
i think there are 6 sheets of kevlar in this, this will stop most handgun rounds, im thinking about getting another one and layering that one over this one, how many will i have to buy for it to stop an M16?
yeah i know it will be sort of heavy. How many layers of kevlar found in a German flecktarn flack vest will stop a M16 round from about?
You need a ceramic plate to stop a highpowered rifle round. Layering it would be bulky/heavy, and only slow the round down not stop it.How many layers of kevlar found in a German flecktarn flack vest will stop a M16 round from about?
Spay a bed liner on the vest. It will work better.
but get about 3 layers of Kevlar if you want to go that route
dude can i be invited to your party?
if you want to survive wear dragons skin it is far superior to kevlar as fast moving m16 or 7.62 mm rounds chew kevlar up like nothing, and the interceptor system is not effective against armor piercing rounds, in 10 years everyone will be wearing dragons skin. Watch future weapons to see there test of it compared to the intercepor system!

How does water travel in underground layers of soil and rock layers move?
I don't understand how water travels through rock and soil underground. How does water travel in underground layers of soil and rock layers move?
Soil, and even rock, have a degree of porosity. This means that they have void spaces within them - think of a sponge as an exaggerated example. If some of these interstitial spaces are connected, then water can travel through them. This is called permeability.
Because of water's hydrogen bonds, it tends to move particularly well through narrow interstices through capillary action. Think of a sponge again as an example. When the rock is saturated, all of the available pathways through the rock are filled. Hydrologists often think of this in terms of what is known as Darcy's Law, which stated mathematically, looks like this:
q = K * dh/dl
Translated into plain English, this law states that the amount of water to move through a material, such as a rock, is proportional to the pressure (technically, hydraulic head, which is slightly different) divided by the distance.
We can use this to calculate the rates at which water moves through an aquifer, which is a saturated body of rock that contains a significant about of water. It turns out that water moves slowly, but fast enough to provide a very good source of water. This water can be tapped directly by wells.

How long does it take to get 11 layers of socks wet in the pool?
If i jumped in the pool with 11 socks on how long do you think it would take to get all the socks wet??How long does it take to get 11 layers of socks wet in the pool?
Lol we have a pool in out backyard and your question made me wonder so i tried it i put 10 layers of socks COULD NOT fit 11 and my brother timed it and it took 13.45 seconds for my feet to feel wet so add 1.02 seconds(bc i only had 10 pairs not 11 on) and you get 14.47 hope this helps! that was an interesting questionHow long does it take to get 11 layers of socks wet in the pool?
I also loved this question when i saw it soo........
I TRIED IT!!!
with 11 pairs of tube socks it took about 5 seconds
less than 12 socks getting wet, but more then 10...DUH
or
it depends wear the socks are, wear 5 on your feet and 5 on your arms and 1 on your head and it will take less time!!
lol!!
idk but this question makes me want to go out and see!!
Depends on the thickness of the socks! Thin socks will not take as long, athletic socks a little longer, and winter thermals even longer!
I think you should try it. Put them on, take a stop watch, stick your feet in and when your feet feel wet, stop the watch!
Let us know!!!!
i have no idea, but i think you should try it and see!! lol, i love this question!!!
hmmmm ... dont know ......oh well ........CANNON BALL !!!!!!!!
probably not more than 30 seconds

Please inform the ceiling income limit of OBC(non creamy layer) for admissions into GATE?
SALARY INCOME OF Central/State/PSU EMPLOYEES IS NO BAR FOR CREAMY LAYER. As per the creamy-layer criteria issued by Government of India DOPT O.M. No.36012/22/93-Est. (SCT) dated 8.9.1993 (available on http://www.ncbc.nic.in and adopted by Supreme Court for recent 27% obc reservation in higher educational institutes in judgment of W.P. 265/2006) following important point is misinterpreted. Normally a candidate having parent’s salary above Rs. 2.50 Lake per annum is not trying to get obc caste certificate, WHICH IS WRONG.
(1) Actually the creamy-layer limit of Rs. 2.50 lakhs is not meant for “government servants” and “farmers”. It is the limit for “business income” only. As the government servants are to be checked by their “post held” and farmers by their “land holdings” hence can not be checked by salary/agricultural income.
(2) In rule- (6) showing creamy-layer limit of Rs. 2.50 lakhs the following explanation is already given- “Income from salaries or agricultural land shall not be clubbed with income” because there is a separate rule (2) %26amp; (3) of ‘post held’ provided for salaried persons %26amp; a separate rule (5) is provided for the persons holding agricultural land.
(3) The rule (2) %26amp; (3) clearly speaks that only the following “government servants” will be treated as creamy-layer.
(i) Parents, either of whom is a Class I officer. (Direct Recruitment)
(i) Parents, both of whom are Class II officers. (Direct Recruitment)
(iii) Parents of whom only the husband (father) is a Class II officer and he gets into Class I at the age of 40 or earlier.
(iv) In military, colonel and above.
Note- Other than the above 4, entire OBC government servants (Central/State/PSUs) of the country will not fall under creamy-layer.
Very clear clarifications regarding creamy layer criteria issued by DOPT circular dated 11 October 2004 is also available on http://www.persmim.nic.in then click circular then click Estt (Reservation) I can clarify the creamy-layer criteria by telephone or email also.

The limit of income for determining the creamy layer status was raised to Rs. 2.5 lakh vide this Department's OM of even number dated 9.3.2004. It has now been decided to raise the income limit from Rs. 2.5 lakh to Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum for determining the creamy layer amongst the OBCs. Report Abuse

According to my knowledge it should be aroun 1.25 lac per annum

How many layers does a tulle dress/skirt have?
How many layers would a tulle skirt/dress have and is it the layers or the material that makes it stick out?How many layers does a tulle dress/skirt have?
yes..and it depends...some have a LOT and some don't...there is no standard of skirt tulle usageHow many layers does a tulle dress/skirt have?
Tulle is a very stiff fabric, and will puff up another skirt, but should not be worn by itself because it is very see-through unless that's the look you're going for.
Three or four layers are good, but if you've never tried to make one before, find a pattern you like and stick to it. Patterns will tell you how much fabric you need.
a tulle skirt or underskirt is made with one to five layers. If it is tiered it sticks out more. And if it is starched it sticks out more. That's the way they were made in the 1950s when net formals were popular. I love those old styles. They were very glamorous. There are some pics on Google. ';net petticoat';

How do I make partially transparent layers on a web page?
I have a photography site and I want to give the user the chance to see what a picture would look like with different frames and mattes. I think I can write the javascript if I can figure out how to make the inside of the image of the frame transparent, and how to lay that over the original picture. Can anyone offer advice as to how to go about this? I'm also open to easier methods of achieving this same effect. I'm an ok html programmer, but fairly new to any other languages. How do I make partially transparent layers on a web page?
You can use the CSS attribute ';opacity'; to do this. Here's some info on it: http://www.w3schools.com/Css/css_image_t鈥?/a>
I would suggest you also take a look at MooTools (http://mootools.net/). If you're not familiar with MooTools, it's a free open-source javascript framework that will let you create some really nice effects--including transparency--that would make a really great way to preview various frames and mattes on your photography site. I found the tutorials and documentation on Mootools site to be far inferior to the tutorials that you can find on this guy's site: (http://www.consideropen.com/blog/2008/08鈥?/a> so if you get frustrated with the Mootools site, take a look there.oil skin facial oil production masquerade mask

What is Layer in networking?
I mean what does mean layer Is this a sotware or physically device in networking? What is Layer in networking?
When working with computers, every task has to be broken down into little steps. (Kind of like a teenage - You can't just say ';Clean your room';, you have to say ';Make the bed';, hang up the clean clothes';, ';Put the dirty ones in the basket';, etc.).
With networking you can just say ';Send this information for Computer A to Computer B';. You have to detail each step. Those steps are referred to as ';layers';.
The standard model, defined by a computer advisory group called OSI, has seven layers
1: application
2: presentation
3: session
4: transport
5: network
6: data link
7: physical
(Should you ever want to memorize the list, think: All People Seem To Need Data Processing)
There is an agreement on what goes into each layer and what comes out of each layer, but it is up to the individual program or device to decide what happends within each layer. Meaning, when you get down to the physical layer, you have information all packed and ready to go. It is reaching you in an agreed upon format. You have to get it to the other computer in an agreed upon format. But HOW you get it there will be different if you are going over a cable as opposed to going wireless. One uses alternating pulses on a wire, the other radio waves. Same information in and out, different method within the layer.
By having preset layers, it makes it easier to transmit data. For instead, at the application layer, the output from a spreadsheet is going to be different than the output from a graphic picture editor. But if the application layer says, ';Just give me the information in chunks of 256bytes and I will pass it on';, then any application can talk to the network. Doesn't matter what the information is, just that it is presented in 265byte chuncks (We just got through the first two layers of the model). When the data reaches the second computer, it is presented in 265byte chunks which the aplication then knows how to reassemble into either a picture or a spreadsheet.
Each of the layers handles different parts of the task of getting information from one computer to another. What is Layer in networking?

How do I pull off the layered look with different colors?
I've tried layering, but it doesn't seem to work. I want to be able to layer many different colors and still have it look good. How do I pull off the layered look with different colors?
first get a variety of tanks in different lengths! color suggestions;
pink, brown, and white
light blue, black,and white
Orange , yellow,and green
Tan, dark brown,and olive green
Hot pink, purple and white
Then get a V-neck or low cut sirt. Arrange your clothes by putting the longest tank on first then medium then small. Make sure the small tank has sequences or rhinestones or glitters on its neckline. Also make sure your longest tank is kind of lacy at the bottom. Finally add a jacket to finish the look. hope i helped!!How do I pull off the layered look with different colors?
What i do is get a tank from aero.
It has to be one that has the little shiny part on top around the neck.
Then get a shorter one that's lacey on top,
then wear a v-cut shirt or a jacket over it,
possibly a vest?
I hope i was help.
Good luck with your outfit.
Use contrasting colors, colors in the same family (different shades of pink/green/blue etc.), any color with black, a regular tee with a shiny tank top, things like that.
When you layer, add in a super cute necklace/scarf or any accessory that matches the color(s) your wearing and make sure your shoes match one of the colors as well and it will most likely blend it in.
With different colors it depends on our natural hair color for example if it's black you should use brown and a little red same with brown if your blond use a little brown and black. Your outfit a v-vest, tank top, tube top, t-shirt, or a short sleve shirt, bottems skirts, capris, long skirts, or denim jeans.

How can I save all my layers in PhotoShop as separate images?
I have a bunch of images in a PhotoShop document, each containing a different photograph. I would like to save all of these photos as JPGs without having to go through each one and saving it for the web. Is there any quick way of doing this? I have Illustrator and ImageReady, so if a solution involves them, that's fine.
I have hundreds of images in these layers, so I would really appreciate any tips that would hasten this process.

How do I get all the layers of cooked food and grease off of the stove stop.?
Have used all the brand names for this purpose. 2 hours later (and multiple sprayings, foamings, wipings) the area around some of the burners looks no better. How do I get all the layers of cooked food and grease off of the stove stop.?
This depends on which type of stovetop you have. If it is a ceramic stovetop you will definitely need a product made especially for ceramic tops. If it is a gas stove or an electric stove with inset burners there is a product on the market called ';Bam'; which is very good at cutting grease %26amp; grime. If this does not work try a good quality, odourless oven cleaner, but please read the label carefully before purchasing to see if it can be used on stovetops. How do I get all the layers of cooked food and grease off of the stove stop.?
Bon ami or cream of tartar mixed with lemon juice to make a paste. Let sit and then scrub. Then there's just plain old fashioned white vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray on let sit and wipe. Don't need elbow grease for that unless your cooktop is really bad.
You may try oven cleaner sprays, and heat the stove top, (all four burners going at the same time, or, flat pans on the burners so that the heat will dissipate onto the cook stove top), and you have to leave this ';cook'; for a couple of hours, and that should take it off...
Or, try this URL:

I hope this helps you, as it seems to have a lot of information about everything...
I wish you well..

Do cfc's travel from the northern to the southern hemisphere in affecting the ozone layer? If so, why?
CFC's travel from the equator either to the north or southern poles. Say a CFC is released in Washington it will travel to the north pole and in the winter, the CFC will attach to the snow crystals and crystalize. Once the summer season comes along that snow will melt and the CFC will rise into the atmosphere and attach to the Ozone molecules which are 3 oxgyen bonded together to form ozone molecules. The Intro of CFC's breaks this O3 bond into just an O2 bond depleting the ozone layer. Since CFC's are not used up in the conversion they can do this to other O3 moleicules.
Now the same thing happens in the southern hemisphere if someone in Sidney Austrialia releases CFC's it goes to the southern pole. The poles are where its the thinnest of ozone that is why you see the ozone holes.
Hope that helpsDo cfc's travel from the northern to the southern hemisphere in affecting the ozone layer? If so, why?

Does our space program, NASA destroy the ozone layer when rockets shoot through the atmosphere?
I think it doesDoes our space program, NASA destroy the ozone layer when rockets shoot through the atmosphere?
Actually it doesn't, the fuel to get into space is just liquid oxygen and hydrogen, that doesn't harm the ozone layer at all.
Don't worry little envioromentalist, one volcano explosion does more harm to the ozone then anything else in the world.
You enviormentalists need to chill out more.Does our space program, NASA destroy the ozone layer when rockets shoot through the atmosphere?
Rockets don't happen in the billions per day everyday. Even with all of the fuel they use, what they produce is nothing compared to what other things produce. Plus, it wouldn't also be NASA, but ESA and all of the other agencies around the world. They are important in terms of scientific advancement, we'd really miss them believe it or not if they were gone.
Airplanes are millions of times more destructive.
Actually, the aluminum perchlorate in the solid rocket boosters is mildly destructive to ozone, but not nearly so much as the chloroflurocarbons leaking out of old refrigerators.
suppy is right...who needs to take the most action is factories %26amp; chemical plants that grease the palms of politicans to look the other way !!!!!!!!!!!!1

Get hair layer is good idea?
Have any of you get your hair layer? I just wonder because a lot of time girl get hair layer because more manageable and soft. I thought get it thinned will be hard? which is better layer or thinned?Get hair layer is good idea?
Well, it depends on your hair structure.
For example, if you have really thin and flat hair, definitely do not layer it.
If you have thick hair, it would look even better thinned/layered.
So, just go to the hairdresser and ask for personal advice.Get hair layer is good idea?
It depends on...
a) If your face shape will suit it and
b)If you like layered hair (I personally don't)
Next time you go to the hairdressers just ask them if you're still not sure. They should know. :)
Layering adds volume to your hair and i think is better. Layers bring out your natural kink in your hair too if you have wavey hair. :-)

How do I get my layers pallet to appear right under effects in photoshop if it suddenly disappears?
I was just editing a picture. I have had to do it twice already. Now this would be my third time to try to edit. Photoshop is being a *****. I am very very frustrated. On the right hand side there is a pallet for Effects and Layers. Layers shows you the picture and so on and so forth and it's not there anymore and no way for me to reopen it.How do I get my layers pallet to appear right under effects in photoshop if it suddenly disappears?
Window%26gt;Layers. Whenever you lose a palette, always check the Window menu to see if the item is checked. If it is checked, and it's not visible on your screen, it's probably hidden behind another palette. You'll have to move the palettes around, or if they are in a group, look a the tabs at the top. Remember that you can dock various palettes together, so they will be in one group with tabs at the top, you just click on the tab to bring out the one you want. How do I get my layers pallet to appear right under effects in photoshop if it suddenly disappears?
I am assuming you are using Photoshop Elements, as the regular Photoshop doesn't have a palette for Effects.
By Default the Effects are on top and Layers on the bottom. You can get them how they were by clicking on Window on the menu on top (at the end after File, edit, etc) and then click on Reset Palette Locations and they will go back to the default.

What does it mean by layer 2 or layer 3 structure in reference of computer networking?
It is reference to the OSI model used with networking. Its a ';guide'; and sort-of-standard on how computers communicate and translate information from human readable to binary.

How do you set cake layers on top of each other?
I am making a wedding cake and have never done it before, how do you stack layers on top of each other? How do you set cake layers on top of each other?
Just how many layers are you making? If this is the first time you're making a wedding cake, you need to get some knowledge about using the dowels. They are little plastic pieces that you have to stick in the cake to support the weight of multiple cakes. Please refer to the Wilton webiste to help you or this cake could turn out disasterous.
http://www.wilton.comHow do you set cake layers on top of each other?
Stack smallest to largest, to get them to stick, spread frosting in between the layers. Then frosting around the sides, of course.
If stacking directly on top of eachother ice the cakes and have them on cake boards. Take straws or wooden dowels and stick them in the cake to use as supports. When doing this I preffer straws because they are easier to cut( you have to use a few more since they are not as strong as wooden dowels ) stick them in uncut then take it out and where the icing line ends cut with scissors so you have the straws exact. then sprinkle cocnut, cake crumbs, cookie crumbs on the top of the cake an inch or so smaller than the cake your putting on top so when you cut the cake you can take the tiers off easily. Hope this helped a little.

2 layer cake help!!!?
I'm trying to make a 2 layer cake, but not in the usual fashion. I want this cake to be made up of 2 tiers of 9X13 cake. I only want to use a cake mix that will normally make one full cake.
I want a layer of frosting in the middle, and I wonder if it would be easier to make a whole cake, then attempt to cut it in half manually, or just bake in two tiers. Any help at all would be appreciated!!2 layer cake help!!!?
my mom does this all the time.
Mix all the cake batter and then split it into the 2 same size pans. Then cook them like that. Then frost one of the cakes completely(not the bottom) carefully put the other one on top then frost the remaining part of cake
Hope this helps2 layer cake help!!!?
1 cake mix will make a rectangle cake, cupcakes, or your 2 tier cake...just use two cake pans..
Mix cake mix like on box, pour cake pans 1/2 way in each pan...and bake like for 2 pans shown on the box...the temp is usually 350 degrees for how long it says on the box.
When they are done....check with a tooth pic poke the tooth pic in the middle of each pan..if it comes out clean then the cakes are done.
let them cool..take them out of the pans...and sit them on a cake rake to cool
then get you a plate put one of the cakes on the plate....get your icings...and spread on top of this layer....then lay the next cake on top...and ice the top...if you want to ice a whole cake like this it usually takes 2 containers of icing...
But making icing from scratch is easy...
2 cups of confection sugar
2 tbsp of chocolate(cooking coco)I usually use 1/4 cup of coco.....(if you want white icing, add 1/2 tsp of vanilla)
Add milk buy teaspoon until your icing is like you like it.
mix this well....and you have Chocolate icing...or Vanilla icing.
hope this helps you!!, and you enjoy your cake!!
Baked a single 9x13 sheet cake. Put waxed paper or parchment paper in the bottom (grease and flour it like the normal bottom of cake pan) so the cake comes out easily when you invert it on the rack to cool.
Once the cake is completely cool you can split it in half.
Take toothpicks and insert them all around the ege of the cake (about half way in) to make a cutting guide around the cake unless you feel you are really good at eye balling it. Then use a long serrated bread knife and starting at one corner keep the knife along the line of toothpicks and begin to slice into cake. Don't try to slice all the way through. Just make a deep cut all the way around the edge.. following those tooth picks. One you have your incision, remove the toothpicks and slowly work the knife around again, going in deeper and deeper until you can connect the cuts and seprated top half of cake. I work in a lot from the corners more than edges.
Be careful handling the top.. it breaks easily. but.. if it does just piece it back on the top and glue together with icing. No one will know.
Finish as you would any other layer cake.
Good Luck. :-)
Oh.. if you're going to do this a lot.. you can buy a cake saw or as they refer to it.. a cake leveler. Wilton sells them. I have the large rectangular one on the right. You can do more than one cut.. and make really thin layers to make the French style gateau called a Dacquoise without making the almost flour cake they use which is VERY dry.

How do I make a layered non-alcoholic drink?
When I was a child, I went to a restaurant with my mother and grandparents. They made me a ';fancy'; drink of different juices, but it was layered. I was amazed by it.
My teen children are planning a New Year's Eve party and I thought this would be a fun thing to serve the kids. I don't remember what juices were in it, so any flavors will do fine. How do I make a layered non-alcoholic drink?
Layered Kiwi And Mango Milk
4 kiwi fruits, sliced
3 cups mango pulp or diced fresh mango
4 scoops mango ice cream
4 teaspoons rose syrup
4 cups milk, cold
Pre-chill 3-4 glasses.
Place slices of the golden kiwis at the bottom of each glass.
Place 1/2 cup of mango (pulp/diced) over the kiwi.
Add a scoop of mango ice cream.
Pour a tsp.
of rose syrup over the mango.
Pour chilled milk over these layers.
Serve immediately with a straw and long-stemmed spoon.
Latte Macchiato (Blotchy Milk)
2 cups milk (no fat-reduced product)
3 tablespoons instant espresso coffee powder, heaped
Heat milk in the microwave or in a saucepan over medium-high heat (do not boil).
In the meantime prepare instant espresso according to package direction.
As soon as the milk is hot give it into a blender or food processor and blend on high for 40 seconds or until the milk has a velvety milk foam.
Fill glasses up to 2/3 with milk foam.
Now pour hot espresso VERY SLOWLY into the foam, I suggest to pour it from the rim.
If you like, you can turn a spoon around and pour the espresso slowly over its back side.
After 1 minute the drink will devide in 3 layers which is very nice! How do I make a layered non-alcoholic drink?

How can i make a layered cake?
I have the pan, frosting, and cake mix but i don't know if i just make many thin cakes or a larger one and cut in in the middle! I'm doing this for valentines day for my boyfriend, and i don't want to mess it up!How can i make a layered cake?
Get a thin cake tin and do however many layers you want, let it cool, frost one of the tops, put another layer on it, frost that top and keep repeating. How can i make a layered cake?
Get two pans the same and bake the two pieces seperately, then frost them together...
Bake the cake in two separate pans. When you lightly touch the middle of the cake, and it springs back, it is done, if it leave a indenture, bake it longer. Flip the hot cake out of the pans on a wire rack to cool, if you leave it in the pans, it will stick. After the cake is cool, (make sure it is, or the frosting will melt) look at your cake pieces, you want the cake to be level. Take a serrated butcher knife, and carefully slice the humps off each piece, to make the cake flat. If not comfortable, freeze the cake first, it is the easiest way. These cut pieces will be the center of your cake, the pan set sides will be your top and bottom. Frost the bottom layer first (you could add a thin layer of strawberry jam on top of the frosting for additional taste). Add the top layer evenly on top, frost the sides first, then frost the top. If you want a perfect frosted cake, freeze the cake, take a glass of hot water, and put a flat knife in it, go over the frozen frosting with the hot knife, and it smooths out any imperfections, for that bakery look..Good luck.....oil skin facial oil production masquerade mask

Iwant to paint a wall but discovered it is several layers of paint over wallpaper. What should I do?
Years ago I painted over a painted wall. Now I would like to change the color. I've learned that the painted surface that I painted over was paint over wallpaper. The wallpaper seams are now visible and lifting slightly in some spots. Can I remove the paper? What is the best way for me to procede?Iwant to paint a wall but discovered it is several layers of paint over wallpaper. What should I do?
you will need to remove the wall paper, can rent a steamer they work pretty good takes time but will be much happier with outcome if you strip the paper rather then painting over againIwant to paint a wall but discovered it is several layers of paint over wallpaper. What should I do?
We stripped off old wallpaper by just pulling on it. It was surprizing how easily it came off. But if it doesn't come off easily, you can steam it or wet it down with a sponge then scrape it off. If the paint is latex paint, it won't matter that it is painted.

How do I enable layers in Photoshop CS2?
I attempting to paint in photo shop but I can't use layers. Any button related to layers is grayed and unclickable. I've attempted saving the image as a photoshop document, but it still doesn't work. Thanks in advance. How do I enable layers in Photoshop CS2?
Go to Image%26gt;Image Mode and make sure you have selected RGB mode. How do I enable layers in Photoshop CS2?
The thing is r u attempting to paint in some other picture u've just open.. In that case u need to disable the lock for u to use it... u've to convert it to an editable layer.. for this just double click the layer, it'll ask u to name it, give some name to that, click ok.. now u can use that layer..
if u r saying 'layers' means,i doubt, is ther many layers that greyed out?
i've got something related to that then found out that there's some prob in ma comp memory.. when i've restarted nd used, it has been resolved..
Also if the color of the image is 'indexed color' and not an RGB, u could get the same prob..in that case convert the image to RGB %26amp; u'll get everything to normal..
I hope u s'd fall in any of the above categories..

I have short layers all around the top of my head, about down to my eyebrows. They get so big, I can't stand it. I literally have to straighten it, put clips on the top of my head, hairspray it then take off the clips once the hairspray is dry. How can I get rid of the extra volume? What types of fish go good with fancy guppies; and are they live bearers or egg layers?
I have a 50 gallon freshwater with tons of room and have already made some mistakes by trusting the pet store. I would like to get a little more color in my tank; but refuse to get anything that will mess with my guppies since they were there first. What do you suggest? List as many details as you can about the fish for ex: if you say mollies do you mean all mollies or a certain type like dalmatian mollies. The factual info the better; if you don't know to many fact but just the name feel free to list them. TYWhat types of fish go good with fancy guppies; and are they live bearers or egg layers?
Personally I would mix tetras in the tank. Guppies tend to be top wiater fish, you you have that area covered. Tetras are mid water swimmers (for the most part) and then for the bottom you really can't beat a few cory catfish.
As far as specfic tetras, you would want small to medium sized fish, nothing over about 3'; or so. Lemons, penguins, serpae, emperor, bloodfins, glowlites or cardinals among others would be good choices. Gold barbs or checkerboard barbs would also be nice as they aren't nippy at all unlike tiger barbs.
MMWhat types of fish go good with fancy guppies; and are they live bearers or egg layers?
try looking at platies. Also livebearers, they will stay small and add color to the tank.
Also look at panda cories, bottom fish, egg layers, and small schooling and peaceful.
They are livebearers

well i have goldfishes and they would go good with your guppies cause I have guppies in my tank but the goldfishes do not have babys and they will not eat your guppies
For bottom dwellers you can go with any of the cory catfish (corydoras) - they are schoolers so you will want to get 4 or 5, and don't worry, they all stay fairly small (largest species are around 3-4 inches I think). Cory cats are egg layers and are diurnal, meaning you will see them swimming around in the light. They are quite active and very peaceful.
For midline area you could go with either cardinal or neon tetras which are pretty docile (egg layers typical tetra group), and you could also try a dwarf male gourami. Stay away from the larger gourami species like Opaline, Pearl, and Blue. The gouramis are a bit territorial, but a dwarf ought to be just fine - especially in a 50 gal. Honey Gourami would also be a good choice since they stay smaller than a dwarf male.
Another possibility would be to try one of the more peaceful dwarf cichlids like the apisto group (though they can be a bit more touchy), or a kribensis. Rams also ought to go well, just make sure you do not put too many of them in the tank. While they tend to mostly leave other fish alone (especially since they hang near the bottom), they are territorial towards each other. All cichlids are egg layers, but they show parental care. The ones that I've mentioned here all lay the eggs and guard them. Some cichlids are mouth brooders (meaning they hold the eggs and fry in their mouth) but I do not know of any that would be suitable tank mates for guppies.
Also, I would NOT add mollies in with the guppies. I usually find mollies to be nippy with other fish, and fancy guppies have a rather large target with those tails.
Sunset or Red Wagtail platies are great. They're livebearers. Neon Tetras are good as well. I think they lay eggs.
well cory cats are colorful and nice and they school together and are very active in a well planted area
platyies are good to just the regulars varieted platies
no mollies
mollies look nice but trust me theyll harrass your guppies
ummm
neon tetras i beleive will be fine or they might get harassed by your guppies
and say best choice cory cats

How to make layered hair stick out more?
I got my hair cut a little longer than shoulder length and the hair stylist layered it. Now im trying to make my hair look the way it did when he did it. Which was yesterday. The hair is split in a different side and my layers don't come out like they did before. What should i do. I have a straightner. How to make layered hair stick out more?
there are products you can buy (texturizing foam/ mousse/ paste) you put it on the ends and it makes the layers almost spike out a bit more you could say (sounds dramatic. it just basically makes them stand out more and gives it a nice depth while emphasizing your layers)
be careful not to use a lot you just need a little (like the amount of tooth paste on your tooth brush) rub it on the tips of your fingers and then using the tips of your fingers to add the product (as you get more practice you go quicker and it gets better, act like your in a hurry when you apply it and it usually comes out the best)
another option is you can always ask your hairdresser what she used too .

Are the muscle layers in the left and right side of the heart the same thickness?
What is their signifiance. What does the right side of the body supply? What does the left side supply? Are the muscle layers in the left and right side of the heart the same thickness?
The left side is thicker because it has to pump blood round most of the body. The right side is thinner because it only has to pump blood round the lungs.

What would happan if the earth did no have a Ozone Layer?
i want a lot of details please if you can
this is not homework my friend asked meWhat would happan if the earth did no have a Ozone Layer?
well al the UV would go through to us and there would be so much skin canser and plants would die frrom burning. IT WOULD BE REALLY REALLY BAD.What would happan if the earth did no have a Ozone Layer?
Nothing would happen to the Earth, since it doesn't depend on delicate chemicals that electro-magnetic (EM) radiation destroys. Life on Earth is a different story. It existed for a long time on Earth without the ozone layer, using ocean water to screen out harmful EM radiation. It wasn't until after the ozone layer formed that life could survive on land. EM radiation is also deflected to the north magnetic pole, and this shielding effect of the magnetosphere helps to protect life on Earth.

What is the layers of the sedimentary rocks from bottom to the top?
I have been working on a project and i need to know the layers of a sedimentary rock. What is the layers of the sedimentary rocks from bottom to the top?
The answer varies with every rock formation, as the names given to them only apply locally. The particular kinds of rock involved also vary from place to place. You could term the lowest one the bottom and the highest one the top, but there's no single arrangement for those in between. What is the layers of the sedimentary rocks from bottom to the top?
In sedimentary rock the layers mean this:
Oldest are on the bottom.
In sands, the there is a gradation in grain size of the sand grains, usually coarser on the bottom.
Originally the layers were laid down horizontally.

I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow, and before I decide on what I want. I need to know the difference is between LONG and SHORT choppy layers. What's the difference between LONG and SHORT Choppy Layers?
Short layers means that the layers are cut much shorter than your usual hair length. Long layers means that the layers are not too short(as in just a little shorter than your usal hair length)What's the difference between LONG and SHORT Choppy Layers?
well long is keeping some length on the hair and short is chopping most of the hair off and having it short lol short choppy layers allows u to make more styles with your hair though and gives good texture

Can anyone tell me the layer order of the mesophere, asthenophere, tectonic plate and the lithophere?
The lithosphere consists of the heavy oceanic and lighter continental crusts, and the uppermost portion of the mantle.
The asthenosphere is the region in the upper mantle characterized by low-density, semiplastic (or partially molten) rock material chemically similar to the overlying lithosphere.
The mesosphere refers to the lower mantle in the region between the asthenosphere and the outer core.
You should consider making a sketch of where these regions are within the earth. Can anyone tell me the layer order of the mesophere, asthenophere, tectonic plate and the lithophere?
Visit the picture I posted in this side. Also read this details about layers. My research is only starting from earth surface to inner part of the earth. Honestly accept that I do not know anything about mesophere.

How far is the first layer off space from earth?
there is no clear boundary between the Earth and outer space. As you climb in altitude, the atmosphere gets less dense as you go. You need to get about 350 km (220 miles) above the Earth鈥檚 surface to get to the point where a spacecraft can orbit the planet.
But various agencies have designated lower altitudes for the beginning of space. The Federation Aeronautique Internationale has established the Karman line at an altitude of 100 km (62 miles). Above this altitude, a vehicle would need to be going more than orbital velocity to get enough lift from the atmosphere to support itself.
NASA considers people to be astronauts once they鈥檝e traveled higher than 80 km (50 miles).

The earth's atmosphere officially ends at approximately 800 km (500 miles) but shuttles and the northern lights have been seen at altitudes of around 690 km (431 miles).
On average, the ISS (International Space Station), is about 199 to 215 miles above the surface of the Earth

Most people consider 60 miles up the beginning of space. 99% of the atmosphere is below you and no jet will work and no steering surfaces on a plane will work. from 60 miles on, it is rockets or yet to be known magnetic or gravitational drive system.
I think it's rather antropocentric to say that space has layers, rather than the Earth's atmosphere.
I think that about 99% of the atmosphere can be defined to be contained within 100km of the surface.

HI, Putting in a second layer of insulation, in the attic. Can it have a facing? Thank you, DP?
NO! I repeat, NO! A vapor barrier, which is what you are talking about, would trap moisture in the insulation below it. This can lead to condensation in the ceiling, rotting of the ceiling joists, etc. If you wish to add more insulation, which is a good idea, use unfaced batts rolled perpendicular to the ceiling joists. Hope this helps.HI, Putting in a second layer of insulation, in the attic. Can it have a facing? Thank you, DP?
Depending on your location and climate, it can; but shouldn't. Most climates in America will dictate that you don't put a vapor barrier in the attic in the location you are describing.
I would look at having a professional contractor blow in more loose fill insulation on top of what you have up there right now. Typically this will cost less then adding bats yourself and give you a better, more seamless install. Plus the blown in fiberglass insulation is far more safe in terms of health then the batt type insulation.HI, Putting in a second layer of insulation, in the attic. Can it have a facing? Thank you, DP?
No. the facing is only good on the insulation that is actually against the ceiling ,walls or floor. This is a moister barrier that should be approximately 3/4 in. from those surfaces.
The paper on insulation is a vapor barrier, you do not want that between layers of insulation.Use unfaced batts or blow it in.
yes but put the faceing down,
